A funeral service will be held for musician Stella Mwangi’s father, Jeff Mwangi Kwirikia, in Norway this Friday before he is transported back to his Maragua home for burial. Preparations have already begun at the musician’s home, ahead of the burial, which is in keeping with his wishes.
According to Norwegian website the foreigner, the funeral service will be held at Ullensaker.
Over the weekend, friends and family gathered for a memorial ceremony in Oslo to remember the 54-year-old who was killed in a hit-and-run road accident last week.
The driver turned himself in two days after the January 31 incident and has since been charged with manslaughter. He admits hitting Kwirikia, who was riding his bicycle at the time, but insists that he is not guilty.
He states that he was driving well below the speed limit.
The late Jeff’s family is still coming to terms with the sudden death of their loved one. Insiders say Stella is still having a hard time coping with the incident.
