Casting of ballots for Uganda’s representatives to the regional Parliament has ended and counting of ballots is underway.
The Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga is presiding over the counting as a clerk reads out the names for tallying.
Earlier, the Leader of Opposition in Parliament Nathan Nandala Mafabi exerted his authority and suspended UPC and DP from all Parliament opposition activities.
Nandala told the House that both parties defied the opposition position to boycott EALA elections until the Arusha Court ruling is enforced.
